QUIET DAYS
Come away for a day of solitude and stillness at the beginning of the busiest times of the church year. Whether you are a clergyperson or other church professional, a lay leader, or simply a harried follower of Jesus who is trying to be faithful, these days of quiet offer a time of Sabbath to set aside distractions and commitments and be present to whatever God wishes to give.
Each day will open with a brief presentation by the facilitator, including sentences for meditation. Participants are then free to find a place of stillness, returning for lunch (in silence). The program concludes with sharing, prayer, and a gathering of the day by the facilitator, Jo Ann Staebler.
A Quiet Day for Advent: November 3, 9:30-3:00

"Let It Be"--a Quiet Day before Advent
Advent will soon take over church calendars. "Christmas" will soon overwhelm us whenever we are out. This day of quiet offers time to drink deeply from the well of love, anticipation, and promise that is offered each of us. Clergy, church professionals, lay leaders, and all who seek God are invited to "Let it be" (Luke 1:38) as we prepare ourselves for the season ahead. The day will include a time for lectio divina, intercessory prayer together, and a group reflection at the end. During the bulk of the day, the monastery grounds are open for all participants to find their own silence and peace.
A Quiet Day for Lent: March 2, 9:30-3:00 (On Hold)
Pre-registration is required by one week before event.
