Music as a Doorway to Prayer
Saturday, February 16, 2008, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Registration is requested by February 9--after that, please call for space availability.
Presented by Ann Kulp
Music has called us to prayer through the ages: the shofar, psalm, pipes, the trumpet. In this time together we will listen to musical selections from a variety of ages and genres, using them as a “way in” to silence, prayer, and reflection. Whether it be chant or symphony, jazz or hymn, each selection will be an invitation to move into the sound . . . and the extended silence. May our hearts be opened to receive the gift of sheer attentiveness, prayer.
Tuition, payable in advance: $40
Registrations submitted jointly by three (3) or more participants will qualify for a 10% group discount.
