CENTERING PRAYER
‘Resting in God’
1st & 3rd Tuesdays of every month, 10 to 11:30 am.
No advance registration is necessary.

Led by Sr. Charlotte Lee, OSB.

Centering Prayer helps the supplicant consent to God’s presence and action within the self. It teaches ways to quiet the self for the gift of God’s presence during prayer by facilitating the movement from more active modes of prayer--verbal, mental or affective prayer--into a receptive prayer also called “resting in God.” It emphasizes prayer as a personal relationship with God, but at the same time, it is a discipline to foster and serve your relationship with God through a regular, daily practice of prayer.

During these meetings, Sr. Charlotte may also incorporate Welcoming Prayer--a spiritual practice of “letting go” of feelings, emotions, thoughts, commentaries and body sensations into the present moment during ordinary routines of daily life--and Lectio Divina, an ancient Christian spiritual form whose elements are Listening/Reading, Meditation, Prayer, and Resting in God

Find and strengthen the grace within you and in your relationship with God.

Tuition: There is no established tuition for this program. Donations are welcome.
