The Samaritan Woman Retreat is a directed retreat for individuals based on the 4th Chapter of John's Gospel (Jesus and the Samaritan Woman).  If you are dealing with mid life issues, entering a new phase of spiritual growth, feeling stuck, or transitioning this retreat might be for you.

The retreat promotes insight into oneself and one’s relationship with God through journaling on Scripture (with suggested questions) and then individual sharing with the director.  The retreat employs prayer, Lection Divina, scripture, insights from Jungian psychology, use of imagination in reflection on Scripture, and the spirituality of the 12 steps.

There are nine segments which can be done in nine days, nine weeks, etc. A suggested donation of $50.00 per session is requested, but no one is refused for lack of funds (sliding scale).

For more information please contact the Benedictine Pastoral Center or S. Charlotte Lee, OSB at 703-361-0106 or e-mail her at scharlottelee@hotmail.com.

  • Spiritual direction is an opportunity to journey with a companion seeking the way of God in our journey of life. Through the growth that comes we find peace and nourishment which enables us to be more of the image of God we were created to be. In the process we explore obstacles to being at peace with ourselves and the blessings that lead to peace and giving ourselves to our sisters and brothers.

We are able to offer Spiritual Direction or Spiritual Companioning to persons seeking it.  Three Sisters and three lay members of the staff offer spiritual direction.

For more information call 703 393 2485 or email bpcosb@comcast.net.
